Mouse Anti-NES Recombinant Antibody (10C2). This product is a mouse antibody that recognizes NES. The antibody 10C2 can be used for immunoassay techniques such as: IF, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, WB. This gene encodes a member of the intermediate filament protein family and is expressed primarily in nerve cells. Nestin is an intermediate filament protein that was first identified with a monoclonal antibody by Hockfield and McKay. It is expressed predominantly in stem cells of the central nervous system in the neural tube. Upon terminal neural differentiation, nestin is downregulated and replaced by neurofilaments.
