Purity ~98% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). IL-17F is a member of the IL-17 family of structurally-related cytokines. The six known members of this family, IL-17A through IL-17F, are secreted as homodimers. IL-17F stimulates proliferation and activation of T-cells and PBMCs. IL-17F also regulates cartilage matrix turnover and inhibits angiogenesis. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to two 134aa polypeptide chains from human IL-17F, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~30.1kD Biological Activity: The ED50, as determined by the dose-dependent induction of IL-6 in NIH-3T3 cells, was found to be ~10ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e5IU/mg.
