Description
A candidate tumor suppressor gene, FHIT (Fragile Histidine Triad), was indicated at chromosome 3p14.2 spanning the FRA3B common fragile site. Abnormalities in structure and expression of the FHIT gene have been detected in a considerable fraction of lung tumors of small and nonsmall cell types. There are several reports on the correlations between abnormalities of the FHIT gene and clinicopathological features in lung cancer. Description: Serum.
