DescriptionRabbit IgG polyclonal Picoband? antibody for Calpain-1 catalytic subunit(CAPN1) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P in Human;Mouse;Rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins. CAPN1 is also known as CANP or muCL. The calpains, calcium-activated neutral proteases, are nonlysosomal, intracellular cysteine proteases. The mammalian calpains include ubiquitous, stomach-specific, and muscle-specific proteins. The ubiquitous enzymes consist of heterodimers with distinct large, catalytic subunits associated with a common small, regulatory subunit. This gene encodes the large subunit of the ubiquitous enzyme, calpain 1. Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
ImmunogenE.coli-derived human Calpain 1 recombinant protein (Position: Q396-A555). Human Calpain 1 shares 86% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat Calpain 1.
