Description
Function: May promote neurite outgrowth of developing thalamic neurons.Subcellular location: Membrane, Single-pass type I membrane proteinTissue specificity: Highly expressed in the cerebral cortex, including frontal, parietal and occipital lobes. Putamen, amygdala, hippocampus and medulla oblongata show moderate expression. Caudate nucleus and thalamus express small amounts, whereas other brain regions show very weak or no expression. Also known as: LRC4C, Leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 4C, Netrin-G1 ligand, LRRC4C, NGL1.
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 50-100 of mouse Netrin G1 ligand (LRRC4C) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in human and rat.
