Rat standard serum with assigned values for IgA, IgM and IgG subclasses
Description
This standard is prepared by pooling serum obtained from a large number rats with the following assigned values: IgG1 IgG2a IgG2b IgG2c IgA IgM 1.68 mg/ml 3.36 mg/ml 7.66 mg/ml 0.50 mg/ml 2.43 mg/ml 1.31 mg/ml The determination of the concentration of each of the four subclasses was carried out by single radial immunodiffusion (RID, Mancini) in agar gel using subclass-specific polyclonal antisera and purified rat immunoglobulins as primary standards.
