CCL20 protein is strongly chemotactic for lymphocytes and weakly attracts neutrophils. It is implicated in the formation and function of mucosal lymphoid tissues via chemoattraction of lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards the epithelial cells surrounding these tissues.
