Description
A peptide fragment of ACTH; an agonist of MC3R and MC4R (EC50s = 2.6 and 200 nM, respectively); increases adenylate cyclase activity in HEK293 cells expressing human recombinant MC1R (EC50 = 25 nM); inhibits extinction of the conditioned avoidance response rats in shuttle-box and pole-jumping tests at 10 and >20 μg, respectively; intracerebroventricular injection reduces the incidence and severity of cold-restraint stress-induced gastric lesions in rats
