Rabbit Anti-Human Caspr2 polyclonal antibody for WB, ICC. Contactin-associated protein-like 2 (also known as Cell recognition molecule Caspr2 or Homolog of Drosophila neurexin IV) is a neurexin family protein encoded by the CNTNAP2 (also known as AUTS15, CASPR2, CDFE, KIAA0868, NRXN4, PTHSL1) gene (Entrez Gene ID 26047) in human. Caspr2 is localized at the juxtaparanodes of myelinated axons and mediates interactions between neurons and glia during nervous system development. The CNTNAP2 gene has been implicated in multiple neurodevelopmental disorders, including Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, schizophrenia, epilepsy, autism, ADHD and mental retardation.[
