Description
Rabbit Anti-Human CASQ1 polyclonal antibody for WB, IHC. Calsequestrin 1 (also known as Calmitin, Calmitine, or Calsequestrin, skeletal muscle isoform) is encoded by the CASQ1 (also known as CASQ, PDIB1) gene (Entrez Gene ID 844) in human. Calsequestrin 1 corresponds to the form of calsequestrin in skeletal muscle, while calsequestrin 2 corresponds to the cardiac form encoded by the CASQ2 gene. Calsequestrins function as a luminal sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium sensors in cardiac and skeletal muscle cells. Calsequestrin 1 is absent in patients with Duchenne and Becker types of muscular dystrophy.
