Description
Rabbit Anti-Human CASQ2 polyclonal antibody for WB, IHC. Calsequestrin-2, also known as, Calsequestrin, cardiac muscle isoform, and encoded by the gene name CASQ2, is a high-capacity, moderate affinity, calcium-binding protein and thus acts as an internal calcium store in muscle. CASQ2 is localized to the sarcoplasmic reticulum in cardiac and slow skeletal muscle cells. Mutations in CASQ2 have been assoicated with Ventricular tachycardia, catecholaminergic polymorphic, 2 which is characterized by stress-induced, bidirectional ventricular tachycardia that may degenerate into cardiac arrest and cause sudden death.
