DescriptionRabbit Anti-Human MYH10 polyclonal antibody for WB, IF, ICC. Myosin-10 (UniProt P35580; also known as Cellular myosin heavy chain, type B, Myosin heavy chain 10, Myosin heavy chain, non-muscle IIb, NMMHC-B, NMMHC II-b, NMMHC-IIB, Non-muscle myosin heavy chain B, Non-muscle myosin heavy chain IIb) is encoded by the MYH10 (also known as NMMHCB) gene (Gene ID 4628) in human. Nonmuscle myosin II plays an important role in cell migration and invasion. The myosin II holoenzyme consists of two myosin heavy chains (MHCs), two essential light chains, and two regulatory light chains. Three different nonmuscle MHC II proteins exist in mammals, IIA (MYH9), IIB (MYH10), and IIC (MYH14), with both unique and overlapping roles. One of the initial steps in cancer cell metastasis is thought to be the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Myosin IIB expression and myosin IIA heavy chain phosphorylation are upregulated upon TGF-β-induced EMT in mammary epithelial cells, while inhibition of myosin IIB expression in post-EMT mesenchymal cells reduces transmigration and invasion.
ImmunogenKLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of human myosin-10.
