Description
DKK1 Polyclonal Antibody. DKK1 is a 266 amino acid secreted protein with two cysteine rich regions and belonging to the dickkopf family. It is involved in embryonic development through its inhibition of the WNT signaling pathway and in the reentry into the cell cycle of human adult stem cells from bone marrow. Its loss of expression plays a role in development or progression of malignant melanoma. It decreases melanocyte function and is a key player in multiple myeloma bone disease. It is a potential prognostic and diagnostic marker for breast cancer patients with poor prognosis.
