The arsenic-biotin conjugate combines the characteristic of biotin and an arsenic reagent and therefore is bifunctional for thiols and avidin (or streptavidin). This conjugate has been used in the study of Torpedo nicotinic receptors and recently, for the identification of arsenic-binding proteins in human breast cancer cells.
