DescriptionThis product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CAT). Cross reactivity against chloramphenicol acetyl transferase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
ImmunogenThis antiserum was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 46-56 of bacterial chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CAT). This antibody identifies recombinant CAT as a predominant band of 26 kDa in eukaryotic cells transfected with a plasmid bearing the CAT gene.
