Cross reactivity against chloramphenicol acetyl transferase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined. |

| Immunogen | This antiserum was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 46-56 of bacterial chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CAT). This antibody identifies recombinant CAT as a predominant band of 26 kDa in eukaryotic cells transfected with a plasmid bearing the CAT gene. |
