N-Oxalylglycine, the amide analog of α-ketoglutarate, is a cell-permeable inhibitor of α-ketoglutarate-dependent enzymes, including JMJD2A, JMJD2C, and JMJD2E (IC50s = 250, 500, and 24 μM, respectively).
