Highly Purified. Recombinant Protein G covalently bound to agarose by cyanogen bromide linkage. Sonicated salmon sperm DNA blocks nonspecific DNA binding sites on protein G agarose when collecting immunocomplexes for Chromatin Immunoprecipitations (ChIP assays). Applications: Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: 80ul of this lot of gel slurry pre-cleared supernatant from sodium butyrate treated HeLa cells. Subsequently, 60ul of this lot immunoprecipitated DNA cross-linked to acetylated histones using anti-Acetyl Histone H3, ChIP Grade. Testing was performed in conjunction with the Acetyl Histone H3 ChIP Assay Kit.
