Description
Mouse Anti-DDC Monoclnal Antibody (Y3C). Provided herein is a mouse monoclonal antibody against Human DDC. The antibody, clone Y3C, can be used for immunoassay techniques, such as ELISA and WB. Dopa decarboxylase (DDC) catalyzes the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to dopamine, L-5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin and L-tryptophan to tryptamine. Defects of DDC are the cause of aromatic L-amino-acid decarboxylase deficiency (AADCD) that is an inborn error in neurotransmitter metabolism that leads to combined serotonin and catecholamine deficiency.
