Human glial progenitor cells (A2B5 ) are derived from whole brain that is quickly dissociated into single cells, cultured and purified using magnetic cell separation. Human A2B5 glial cells are from a single Donor. They are greater than 90 % positive as determined by flow cytometry. Human A2B5 cells enable researchers to produce glial cells such as astrocytes, microglia, oligodendrocytes, and their precursors found in the central nervous system using standard published protocols.
