The cell adhesion molecule CD146 (also known as MUC18, S-Endo, MelCAM and MCAM) is expressed on endothelial cells, a subset of activated T lymphocytes and some human tumor cell lines. The recombinant human CD146 corresponds to the extracellular domain of CD146 and has been made soluble by deletion of the transmembrane region.
