NOTCH4 is cleaved upon ligand activationand the notch intracellular domain (NICD) is released, which forms a transcriptional activator complexwith RBPJ/RBPSUH to activate genes of the enhancer of split locus. It affects the implementation ofdifferentiation, proliferation and apoptotic programs.
