Description
A monoclonal antibody mAb75 has been generated which binds to germinal center B cells but not to naive / memory cells. It also binds to some Burkitt's lymphomas and to all Hairy cell leukemias tested. The CD20 epitope recognized by mAb75 became detectable on naive B cells in response to TNF-a/b and/or IL10. Interestingly IL4, IFNs and TGFb are strong antagonists to mAb75 epitope induction. Ligation of mAb75 epitope was found to enhance B cell growth. (Meffre G. et al, unpublished data)
