Product Specifications Bovine GARA-IGFBP-2: Recombinant [Gly-Ala-Arg-Ala]-Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-2 (GARA-IGFBP-2) is a 288 amino acid variant of bovine IGFBP-2 generated as a result of alternative processing of the signal sequence by host mammalian cells. GARA-IGFBP-2 is four amino acids longer than bIGFBP-2 at the N-terminus. While GARA-IGFBP-2 is able to bind IGF-II with a similar affinity to bIGFBP-2, it has 4-times the affinity for IGF-I when compared to bIGFBP-2.
