Description
CDH3 is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. It is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein comprised of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. Aberrant expression of this protein is observed in cervical adenocarcinomas. Mutations in the gene encoding CDH3 have been associated with congential hypotrichosis with juvenile macular dystrophy. This CDH3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 114-142 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human CDH3.
