Description
This antibody was affinity purified using MYH4 (C-terminus) peptide (without carrier). The antibody detects a 215 kDa protein corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of MYH4 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of mouse extraocular muscle and mouse C2C12 cells. The antibody may also detect other skeletal MYHs, such as MYH1 and MYH2, which have significant homology to the C-terminal region of MYH4.
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide (coupled to KLH) corresponding to amino acid residues at the C-terminus from mouse MYH4/MyHC-IIB. This sequence has 100% identity with rat and human MYH4, and has significant homology to MYH1, MYH2, and MYH8.
