Description
Specific for the 46kD polypeptide (cytokeratin 20). It represents an excellent marker for certain carcinomas such as adenocarcinoma of the colon, transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder and Merkel cell skin tumors. The antibody can be used in the detection of intestinal and gastric foveolar epithelium, urothelial cells and Merkel cells of the epidermis as well as tumors of their origin (eg. primary and metastatic colorectal cancer). Adenocarcinomas of the breast and lung also neuroendocrine tumors of the lung are essentially negative.
