Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is an analytical technique based on the magnetic properties of certain atomic nuclei. NMR has been the dominant method for biological products analysis in pharmaceuticals. It can be used in structural analysis, bioprocess validation and impurity profiling of biologics products including antibodies, recombinant proteins and peptides. NMR spectroscopy is usually performed depending on various nuclei (1H, 13C, 19F and 31P). In addition, both 1D and 2D NMR experiments can be done to obtain more detailed structural information.
