Description
The antibody detects a 15 kDa protein corresponding to the molecular mass of Histone H2B on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human A431, Jurkat, HeLa, mouse C2C12, rat PC12, and A7r5 cells. The antibody also shows nuclear labeling in immunocytochemistry of methanol/acetone fixed cells.
Immunogen
Histone H2B synthetic peptide (coupled to carrier protein) corresponds to amino acids in the C-terminus of human histone H2B. This sequence is well conserved in rat, mouse, fish, and drosophila histone H2B, and has low homology to other histone family members.
