Description
cdk1, p34cdc2 (CDC2, Cell Division Cycle 2, G1 to S and G2 to M, CDC28A, CDK1, Cell division control protein 2 homolog, Cyclin-dependent kinase 1, MGC111195, p34 protein kinase, DKFZp686L20222). Recognizes Xenopus cdk1/p34cdc2 protein kinase at ~34kD. Does not crossreact with cdk2/p32 and other cyclin dependent kinases (cdks). Epitope maps near the C-terminus of protein and its core is thought to be LGTPNNEV. Inhibits the activation of p43cdc2 kinase by cyclins and precipitates an active kinase.
