Description
For human tissue samples. Angiotensin-I-converting enzyme is important for blood pressure homeostasis through generation of the vasoconstrictor angiotensin II and inactivation of the vasodilator bradykinin. CD143 is restricted mainly to luminal endothelial cells of small muscular arteries and arterioles. On the other hand, practically all capillaries of normal human lung express CD143, while normal human kidney lacks any endothelial CD143 expression. CG2 is an excellent antibody to stain ACE in paraffin embedded tissue sections after microwave treatment.
