MEK2 double mutant human is a recombinant protein containing a polyhistidine tag expressed in Sf9. This double mutant protein contain alanine substitutions at S222A and S226A rendering it inactive. Analysis by SDS-PAGE resulted in a pattern consistent with purified MEK2 and was estimated to be greater than 90% pure.

Western Blot. MEK2 mutant protein is suitable as a negative control protein for immunoassays using antibodies targeting the critical MEK2 phosphorylated S222 or S226 residues. For western blot use at 50 ng or less. For other assays concentration is user optimized.
