Description
Mouse Anti-CCR5 Recombinant Antibody (T218). This product is a mouse antibody that recognizes CCR5. The antibody T218 can be used for immunoassay techniques such as: WB, IP, ELISA, IHC-P, FC. This gene encodes a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein-coupled receptors. By radiation hybrid mapping, Liu et al. (1996) localized the CCR5 gene (designated CKR5 by them) to chromosome 3p21. Defective alleles of this gene have been associated with the HIV infection resistance. May play a role in the control of granulocytic lineage proliferation or differentiation. Acts as a coreceptor (CD4 being the primary receptor) for HIV-1 R5 isolates. The ligands of this recepto
