Product Specifications Biotin-Des(1-6) IGF-II: Biotin-Des(1-6) IGF-II is prepared by a selective biotinylation procedure. As the unbiotinylated analog it has onyl very weak affinity to IGF-binding proteins. Binding to recpetors is not substantially affected. Due to its strongly reduced binding affinity to the IGFBP?s, Biotin - Des (1-6) IGF-II may be used for detection of IGF-II receptors on western blots, in binding studies or in immunohistochemistry. Examples of applications of biotinylated IGF's can be seen in application note 4.Molecular Weight: 7122.5 Da.Formulation: Lyophilised from a solution of 0.5 ml TBS, pH 7.4, containing 10 μg of the biotinylated product . A preservative and a stabilising protein of non-mammalian origin are added to ensure stability of the reconstituted product. Recommended dilution: 1: 100 for western ligand blotting. Tested with our western-ligand blotting kit. Storage: Store refrigerated upon arrival. The product is stable at 4 °C for at least one year. Reconstitute with 0.5 ml water and store aliquots frozen at - 20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thawing cycles.
