Product Specifications Des(2,3)[Leu24]IGF-I: Des(2,3)[Leu24]IGF-I is a 68 amino acid analog of human IGF-I lacking the Pro-Glu at positions 2-3 at the N-terminus and with a substitution of Leu for Tyr at position 24. Compared to [Leu24]IGF-I, Des(2,3)[Leu24]IGF-I has similar affinity both for binding to the Type 1 IGF receptor and to acid-stripped human serum binding proteins.Source: Des(2,3)[Leu24]IGF-I is produced recombinantly as a fusion protein in E.coli using a patented expression system. The fusion protein containing Des(2,3)[Leu24]IGF-I is refolded, and after the leader peptide is removed, the Des(2,3)[Leu24]IGF-I product is purified to Receptor Grade using several chromatography steps.Purity:> 95% (as determined by HPLC and N-terminal sequence analysis)Molecular weight: Theoretical : 7373 daltons.
