Description
GF-01 is an excellent tool for the differentiation of tumors of glial or astrocytic origin. The antibody reacts with GFAP, a 50 kD intermediate filament protein, which is expressed by astrocytes and to a lesser degree by ependymal cells, folliculostellate cells of the anterior pituitary and cerebellar radial glia. The antibody does not react with other intermediate filaments. The antibody stains strongly even at high dilutions, but also reacts with porcine GFAP. Application: IHC (f,p)
