The Collagen (Porcine) Type II, Mouse Antibody (IgG) BioAssay? ELISA Kit is designed to assay type II collagen antibodies in mouse sera. The microtiter strips provided in the kit have been coated with porcine type II collagen. To reduce non-specific binding, we have incorporated unique blocking agents which inhibit the hydrophobic binding of immunoreactive serum components in sample specimens onto plastic surfaces and thus reduce the background levels. This ELISA kit contains enough material to run two plates on two separate occasions (see assay procedure). Figure 1 shows a standard ELISA kit consisting of ten 8-well strips co1vialated with one species of type II collagen and two 8-well strips for reference standards. ``B'' represents blank wells to determine background values caused by the secondary antibody.
