GIPC2, also known as, SEMCAP2 contains 315 amino acid protein that localizes to the cytoplasm and contains one PDZ domain. GIPC2 is expressed at high levels in kidney and colon and at lower levels in adult liver. It might play important roles in human gastric cancer through modulation of growth factor signaling or cell adhesion. Recombinant human GIPC2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
