Enhanced Rat Cerebral Cortex Cells (HO Clones) are isolated from Newborn Fisher rats. Enhanced Rat Cerebral Cortex Cells (HO Clones) exhibit a unique morphology in which the cells when forming a colony, exhibit a hole in the center. They have been infected with a retroviral vector containing the avian Myc gene (pneoMLV), but are not immortal. The cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to GFAP and GalC. T25 flasks is required for cell adhension to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with 5% CO2. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml.
