Description
Purified anti-LCMT1 (PPM1). PP2A is one of the principal serine-threonine phosphatases in all cells. It is a heterotrimer composed of a catalytic (C), a scaffolding (A) and one of several regulatory (C) subunits. Until a regulatory subunit is available, PP2A activity is inhibited by by PTPA, Alpha4, PME1 or PPM1. PPM1 methylates PP2A C L309, allowing PP2A/Ba association, tau protein binding and decreased tau aggregation.
Immunogen
This monoclonal antibody was raised against a recombinant mouse PPM1 (protein phosphatase methyl-transferase1) protein.
