Product Specifications Human IGF-I: Human Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) is a single chain, 70 amino acid polypeptide that stimulates growth and differentiation in many cell types. IGF-I shares 76% sequence homology with IGF-II and approximately 50% with proinsulin. IGF-I is considered to be an autocrine/paracrine and endocrine regulator of growth and protein metabolism. GroPep scientists and engineers have produced Animal/Media Grade IGF-I to provide a high quality reagent for use in studies on cellular and animal growth and for inclusion in cell culture medium.
