A cyanoacetamide fungicide; inhibits the mycelial growth of 12 isolates of P. infestans (EC50s =- 0.27-0.57 μg/mL); inhibits the growth of several strains of S. cerevisiae (IC50s = 8-25 mg/l); reduces blighted leaves of P. infestans-infected potato plants and P. cubensis-infected cucumber plants by 79 and 60%, respectively, at 1 mg/ml; toxic to rats (LD50 = 3.8 mmol/kg)
