    DescriptionSNCAIP / Synphilin 1 Antibody (aa829-847) LS-C11522. Recognizes synphilin-1, a cytoplasmic protein which associates with alpha-synuclein in vivo. Alpha-Synuclein is a major component of Lewy bodies in patients with sporadic Parkinson's disease (PD) and mutations of alpha-synuclein are involved in familial forms of PD. Reports suggest that synphilin-1 may play a role in Lewy body formation in association with alpha synuclein.
