Description
LAMP1 / CD107a Antibody (clone B-T47, Azide-free) LS-C58425. Recognizes human CD107a, otherwise known as LAMP-1 (lysosome-associated membrane protein-1), a 100-120kD type I integral lysosomal membrane glycoprotein and member of the LAMP family, which transfers between lysosomes, phagosomes and the plasma membrane, and may play a role in lysosomal membrane protection and in lectin-mediated cell adhesion. Studies have linked enhanced CD107a expression with the metastatic potential of some tumor cells, and with neurons and glial cells surrounding plaques in Alzheimer's patients. CD107a may also serve as a marker of mast cell activation.
