Description
Recognizes human beta amyloid cleaving enzyme (BACE), a 70kD aspartic protease. BACE is involved in the cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) to generate amyloid beta peptide. Cerebral deposition of amyloid beta peptide is an early feature of Alzheimer's disease.
