MSK2, active, Recombinant, Human (Mitogen and Stress activated protein Kinase2)
Description
Purified using Ni2+/NTA-agarose. Activated using MAP Kinase 2/Erk2, active and repurified using Ni2+/NTA-agarose. ~79% by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining. N-terminal His6-tagged, recombinant, human MSK2, aa2-end, expressed by baculovirus in Sf21 insect cells. Specific Activity: ~140U/mg, where one unit of MSK2 activity is defined as 1nmol phosphate incorporated into 30uM Crosstide (GRPRTSSFAEG) per minute at 30°C with a final ATP concentration of 100uM. Applications: MS Tryptic Fingerprint: Confirmed identity as MSK2 with 37% amino acid coverage of the translated native sequence. MSK2 Kinase Assay: 10-100ng of this lot of enzyme phosphorylated 30uM Crosstide in the assay. Assay background was subtracted from the actual counts to yield the results.
