Description
gamma Tubulin Monoclonal Antibody (4D11). Gamma Tubulin is required for structure and function in microtubule growing centers. Disruption of gamma Tubulin has also shown to cause mitotic arrest and a sharp decrease in microtubule quantity. This disruption also causes mutations in the microtubule organizing centers never seen in wild-type cells. gamma Tubulin is exclusively localized to the spindle poles in animal cells. Localization and timing of gamma Tubulin during cell cycle is thought to be highly regulated.
