Purity >98%. Loganin is an iridoid glycoside first isolated from the seeds of Strychnos nux-vomica, a member of the Loganiaceae family. It is a substrate for cytochrome P450 72A1, also known as secologanin synthase, in the production of indolalkaloids. Loganin has been shown to have antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and neuroprotective effects in animal models. It can inhibit COX-1 enzyme activity (IC50 = 3.55 μM), suppress the formation of TNF-Alpha, and diminish the production of nitric oxide.
