The RF-Adsorbent is designed for preadsorbtion of interfering substances in IgM assays. Interfering substances may include rheumatoid factors or other serum components capable of causing nonspecific signal in ELISA assessment of IgM antibodies. This IgM adsorbent is a simple and quick method which can eliminate the interference of rheumatoid factors and other IgG antibodies in ELISA assays used for the semiquantitative measurement of IgM specific antibodies There are many IgM specific antibody tests available in ELISA format. Many are capable of yielding false positive results if interfering rheumatoid factors are present in patient samples. These interfering rheumatoid factors may result in false positive IgM results.
