Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to Lrp2 which is also known as LRP-2 and gp330 whose expression can be detected in the placenta but it is highly expressive in the absorptive epithelia. It is found in the apical cell. It can perform functions like positive regulation of oligodendrocyte progenitor proliferation and aorta development. In the embryonic neuroepithelium it mediates endocytic uptake and degradation of BMP4 which is required for correct SHH localization in the ventral neural tube and plays a role in patterning of the ventral telencephalon. It binds to the complex composed of beta-amyloid protein 40 and CLU/APOJ and mediates its endocytosis and lysosomal degradation.
