It is a signaling adapter that couples activated growth factor receptors to signaling pathway. SHC1 expressed in neural stem cells but absent in mature neurons. Recombinant human SHC1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
